Photographer John Thawley is using SlideShowPro for his awesome portfolio of racing photography. He made the navigation background the same color as the page, giving the navigation a floating feel underneath his collection of large images.
SlideShowPro Director 1.0.7 Released
A new build of SlideShowPro Director is out the door. Couple of bug fixes, plus a new feature: albums may be linked to directly, which makes linking to single albums easier than before. Registered users may login to download. Also check the version history to see what’s changed.
Small release that fixes a bug that popped up in version 1.3.5 (and continued through 1.3.9). If Show Navigation were set to “False”, the gallery wouldn’t work when called through toggleGallery(). This is especially important to people with custom navigations. Version 1.4.0 fixes this problem. Login to download.
Freelance photographer Peter Byrne is using SlideShowPro to present his portfolio of work. From cowboys to wrestlers to the performing arts, Byrne’s photography is evocative, beautiful, and rich, with SlideShowPro visually receding into the dark blue and black background.
This release temporarily removes the “Auto” Display Mode behavioral change introduced in 1.3.8 to allow more time for testing. It was causing some intermittent errors with the navigation buttons. It will be fixed and reintroduced in the next version. Registered users may login to download.

Yesterday was a bit of a mess. The server this site is hosted on at Dreamhost, “charm,” took a nose-dive. Dreamhost’s tech team promised to get it back up quickly, but a few hours later it became abundantly clear that good ol’ charm (where I’ve been hosted since 2002) wasn’t coming back. So they moved the site over to a new server, and everything appears to be working fine now — if not a bit faster.
After a few beta versions, Director 1.0.6 is now final. Registered users may now login and download the update. What’s new? Check out the version history, which includes a few bug fixes, a couple of changes, and new functionality including a preferences pane, additional scaling options, and visual tweaks here and there.
